The job
What a club has to run
Sports club management software is the system a club uses to run its teams week to week: who is on which roster, when and where each team plays and trains, who is coming, what has been paid and how everyone hears about changes. A club with a handful of teams can survive on spreadsheets and group chats. Past that, the same few volunteers end up doing everything twice.
-
Teams and rosters
Every team, its players and its coaches, kept current as players join, move up or leave mid-season.
-
Games, practices and events
League games, home games, practices, tryouts and club events, on fields the club shares across teams.
-
RSVPs and attendance
Knowing who is coming before the day, and who actually came, without a show of hands in a group chat.
-
Communication
Team chat, club announcements and a notice when a game moves, without coaches handing out their personal numbers.
-
Families and young players
Parents act for younger children, and the club needs clear rules for who can message whom.
-
Club fees
Who owes what, who has paid, and which payments still need to be checked.
-
Staff and volunteers
Directors, team managers and volunteers who each need access to their part of the club, and nothing more.
Play 2 Earn Sports
How each job is covered
Here is what Play 2 Earn Sports does for each club job today, and where you will still need something else. Judge it against the jobs your club actually does each week.
| Job | What Play 2 Earn Sports does | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|
| Teams and rosters | A team wizard, rosters with formation positions, and permissions for who can view or edit a roster. | Rosters are not imported from other platforms; teams are set up in the club. |
| Player sign-up | Players join through your club's join link or join page. Players join free. | There is no custom registration form builder and no e-signature waivers. |
| Schedules | Games, practices and events in one schedule. Import an existing schedule from a calendar link, an .ics file or a CSV, with a preview first. | Most major platforms publish a calendar link; the import is one-way. |
| Venues | Venues and fields with availability windows and buffers between games. Double-booked fields and teams booked twice are flagged. | Conflicts are flagged for staff to resolve, not fixed automatically. |
| RSVPs and attendance | RSVP for events with reminders, and attendance taken by club staff and coaches. | — |
| Communication | Team chat with team, coaches and parents channels, polls and direct messages; announcements; change notices in the app, by email, push and team chat. | Push depends on each person's device and browser permission. |
| Families | Parents and guardians are linked to their children, switch between children on a family dashboard and act for a child under 14. | A child's public name or photo is shown only if a parent opts in. |
| Club fees | Club fees and player payments are tracked, including e-transfer payments that families submit. | Payment itself happens outside the platform, for example by e-transfer. |
| Staff | Base roles of Team manager, Tournament manager, Volunteer, Director of coaching and Club staff, with permission switches for each area. | Give each volunteer only the switches they need. |
| Coaching | Coach dashboard, attendance, lineups and formations, and player evaluations. | — |
| Club website | A club website builder, plus documents for staff. | — |
Scheduling
One schedule for every team
Scheduling is where club software earns its keep. A club with eight teams sharing two fields has a booking problem every week, and a club whose teams also play in outside leagues has several calendars to keep in line. In Play 2 Earn Sports, games, practices and events sit in one schedule on the club's own venues and fields, each with its availability windows and the buffer you need between bookings. A field booked twice at overlapping times, or a team booked twice, is flagged before families see it. Our sports scheduling software overview goes deeper into how this works for clubs, leagues and tournaments.
When something changes, the club does not have to send the message itself. Moving, postponing or cancelling a game or an event tells the players, linked parents, coaches and assigned referee in the app, by email, by push where enabled and in a "Schedule update" post in each team's chat. Changes made within two minutes are bundled into one notice, so a quick correction does not send three messages.
If your teams play in a league that runs on Play 2 Earn, the league's fixtures reach your teams in the same app; see league management software. If the league uses another platform, a club can import that schedule from a calendar link, an .ics file or a CSV. The club can also host its own tournaments as a round robin, a knockout or a group stage, with games placed into field slots and clashes flagged.
Youth safety
Built for clubs with young players
Clubs with young players need clear rules for accounts and messaging. These guards are part of how Play 2 Earn Sports works, so your club does not have to bolt them on afterwards.
-
Parent-operated accounts under 14
For players under 14 the parent or guardian operates the account and acts for the child. The child's own account gets in-app notices only.
-
Youth-safety guards in team chat
Direct messages for under-14 players are limited to their own team, and a parent sees only their own conversations, not the child's team channel.
-
Reporting and blocking
Members can report messages and block other users in team chat, and there is no private chat between an adult and a minor.
-
Opt-in public profiles
A child's public name and photo appear only when a parent opts in.
Getting started
Your club's first week
Clubs that switch mid-season usually do it in this order, one step a day, so coaches and families are never left between two systems.
-
Set up the club and teams
Create the club and use the team wizard for each team, with coaches attached.
-
Add staff with the right switches
Give each director, team manager and volunteer the permissions their job needs, and keep financials with one or two people.
-
Add venues and bring the schedule over
Enter your fields with their availability windows, then import the current schedule from a calendar link, an .ics file or a CSV and check the preview.
-
Share the join link
Send families the club's join link. Players join free, and parents link their children to their own account.
-
Move the week into the app
Post practices and events with RSVP and reminders, and start taking attendance there.
-
Open team chat
Explain the team, coaches and parents channels to families, then retire the old group chat.
-
Set club fees
Add the club's fees and start tracking payments, including e-transfers that families submit.

Pricing
What club management costs here
Starter is free for clubs with up to 10 teams and leagues with up to 10 clubs. Clubs with 11 to 25 teams move to Club Pro at $49.67 USD a month, and larger clubs to Club Unlimited at $99.67 USD a month. Players join free; optional Player Pro is separate. Check current plans and limits before you budget, because limits and prices can change.

If you are comparing it with an app your club already uses, see the TeamSnap alternative, the Spond alternative and our alternatives overview.
FAQ
Club managementquestions
Software a club uses to run its teams: rosters, schedules for games, practices and events, RSVPs and attendance, communication with coaches and families, club fees and staff permissions. It replaces the mix of spreadsheets, group chats and email lists most clubs start with.
Play 2 Earn Sports' Starter plan is free for clubs with up to 10 teams. Clubs with 11 to 25 teams move to Club Pro, and larger clubs to Club Unlimited, as shown on pricing. Players join free; optional Player Pro is separate. You can start a club on club starter.
Play 2 Earn Sports is a web app, so no app-store download is needed. It runs in the browser, and you can add it to your home screen: from the install prompt on Android and Chrome, or on iPhone through Share, then Add to Home Screen.
A team app runs one team: its roster, its games and its group chat. Club software runs every team at once: shared fields, club-wide events and fees, staff roles across teams, and one place where directors see the whole club. Once several teams share fields and volunteers, club software saves the duplicate work.
Yes. Parents and guardians are linked to their children and can switch between them on a family dashboard. Accounts for players under 14 are parent-operated: the parent acts for the child, and the child's own account gets in-app notices only. A child's public name or photo appears only if the parent opts in.
Team chat has youth-safety guards: no private chat between an adult and a minor, direct messages for under-14 players only within the same team, and reporting and blocking. A parent sees only their own conversations, not the child's team channel. Accounts for players under 14 are parent-operated, so a parent acts for the child.
Club fees and player payments are tracked in the club, including e-transfer payments that families submit. Staff with the financials permission can see who has paid and what is still outstanding. The payment itself is made outside the platform, so the club keeps its own bank and e-transfer process.
Not today. Players join through your club's join link or join page, and parents link their children to their own account, but there is no custom registration form builder and no e-signature waiver. Clubs that need those keep their current form tool alongside Play 2 Earn Sports and use the join link for everything else.
Yes, one way. Import it from a calendar link, an .ics file or a CSV, and check the preview before you confirm; most major platforms publish a calendar link. Rosters and registrations are not imported, so teams are set up in the club and families join through your join link.
