How Next Play works
Find teams to play
Pick your team and see clubs that fit: the same sport, a birth year up to two years older or younger, the right level and within your distance.
Send a friendly invite
You host and pick the field and time. When they accept, the game lands on both clubs' calendars and families are told about any change.
Confirm the score
Both clubs confirm the result. With Game Pulse Tech, every confirmed friendly builds each team's record: games, results, late cancels and no-shows.
The scrimmage finder app for club teams
Find a scrimmage without the group texts
Finding a team to scrimmage usually means emails, social posts and phone calls that go nowhere. Next Play replaces all of that with one search. Choose your team, and the app shows clubs looking for games in your sport, in a birth year that fits, at your level and within the distance you set. Every result shows open game times, whether the club can host, and its record of games played, late cancels and no-shows.
Friendly games that land on both calendars
Send a friendly invite with your field, date and kickoff time. When the other club accepts, the game goes straight onto both clubs' calendars, players and parents are told the time and place, and any later change reaches them too. Staff from both clubs talk in one chat, request a referee if they want one, and confirm the final score together.
Scrimmages for every team sport
Next Play covers soccer scrimmages and friendlies, ice hockey scrimmages, youth basketball teams looking for games, baseball teams looking for games, American football scrimmages, volleyball, lacrosse, rugby and field hockey. Each sport keeps its own search, so a hockey club only sees hockey teams and a soccer club only sees soccer teams.
Built for youth and adult club teams
Next Play is for the adults who run club teams: owners, club managers, team managers and coaches with club permission. It is free for clubs. It is part of Play 2 Earn Sports, the club platform for scheduling, registration and team communication, and every confirmed friendly builds your team's record with Game Pulse Tech.

Yes. Registered clubs can find teams and send invites from the Game Hub on play2earnsports.com today.
How do I find a team to scrimmage?
Set your team's sport, birth year, level and how far you will travel. Next Play lists clubs that fit, with their open game times and record. Pick one, choose your field and time, and send a friendly invite.
Is a scrimmage the same as a friendly?
Mostly, yes. Both are games outside league standings. A scrimmage is often a practice game with relaxed rules; a friendly is usually a full game. Next Play handles both and keeps the results separate from league tables.
How long is a scrimmage?
It is up to the two clubs. Many youth scrimmages run 60 to 90 minutes, and you agree the format, field and referee in the invite and the staff chat.
