TeamReach alternative: a team app built for your sport
A TeamReach alternative for a sports team should know your sport: the lineup on your own playing surface, who is coming, a team chat with clear rules for young players, the league schedule and the referee. Play 2 Earn Sports is built for that, across 18 sports. This page shows what a team gets, five questions to ask before you switch, a worked soccer week, and how to move across.
Starter is free for clubs with up to 10 teams.

A team app built for your sport
0:00 By the end of this video, you will know what a sports team gets from an app built for sports. You will also have five questions to ask before you switch. We will cover lineups on your sport's surface, replies and attendance, three team channels, the league schedule and referees. Then a worked example.
What a team gets from Play 2 Earn Sports
0:19 Play 2 Earn Sports is built for sports. Coaches and club admins use the same lineup builder. Each team sport gets its own surface. Soccer gets a pitch, basketball a court, baseball a diamond and hockey a rink.
0:34 Players and parents answer Going, Maybe or Can't go, and coaches see the counts and the names. After the game, coaches and club staff mark attendance: present, late, absent or excused. Each team has Team, Coaches and Parents channels. A private chat between an adult and a minor brings a parent or guardian into the conversation until the player turns eighteen.
0:58 Players under fourteen can only message teammates directly. For leagues, auto-scheduling builds a season with round robin, divisions and venue-conflict checks. The league assigns one official to each league game. The official accepts, declines or hands the game back.
A short note on TeamReach
1:15 TeamReach describes itself as a group communication app for teams and groups of every kind, from youth sports to scouts and churches. Its homepage, checked on October eighteenth, 2026, lists messages, schedules, replies, photos and scores, and says it is free to use.
Five questions to ask before you switch
1:31 Now five questions for any app. One: is it built for your sport, with a lineup on your playing surface? Two: does the league schedule reach your team without anyone retyping it? Three: who assigns the referee, and does the official see the game in the same place as the team?
1:48 Four: what are the chat rules for young players? Five: can the coach see who is coming before the day, and who came after it? Write the answers down, and score each app on your own season.
A soccer team's week, worked through
2:00 Here is a typical example. It is illustrative, not a specific club. A youth soccer team has twelve players and one league game on Saturday morning. By Thursday, nine players answer Going, two answer Maybe and one answers Can't go.
2:15 That makes twelve. On Friday, one maybe answers Going and the other answers Can't go. Now ten are going and two are not. The coach opens the lineup builder and places seven starters on the pitch view.
2:28 The other three start on the bench. Seven plus three is ten, so every player who said Going has a place. The league has already assigned one referee to the game, and the referee accepted it on Wednesday. On Saturday, the coach marks attendance. Ten players are present and two are excused, which makes twelve again.
Moving your team across
2:48 Moving in starts with the schedule you have. If your current app gives you a calendar link, paste it into Import schedule, check the preview, then confirm. Today, this is a one-way import of games, not a full migration of past messages.

How Play 2 Earn Sports helps
3:15 Now, how Play 2 Earn Sports helps a team. Coaches set lineups on their sport's surface. Players and parents answer Going, Maybe or Can't go, and coaches mark attendance separately. Each team has Team, Coaches and Parents channels, with a guardian brought into adult-to-minor chats.
3:33 For leagues, the referee picker checks the sport, the league's required level and unavailable dates. The app installs from the website on iPhone and Android. Tap Turn on notifications; on iPhone, add it to the Home Screen first. An app built for sports: lineups, replies, three team channels and the league's referee on one schedule.
3:55 The full guide is on the page linked in the description. Try it with your own team: Starter is free for clubs with up to 10 teams. Thanks for watching.
What a sports team gets from Play 2 Earn Sports
-
Lineups on your sport's surface
Coaches and club admins use the same lineup builder. Soccer, American football, basketball, baseball, hockey, field hockey, lacrosse, rugby and volleyball get a squad and pitch view on their own surface: a pitch, a gridiron, a court, a diamond or a rink. Individual sports get an event-lineup view.
-
Going, Maybe or Can't go
Players and parents answer for each game and practice, and coaches see the counts and the names. A coach can send one manual in-app reminder per item, at most once every 24 hours.
-
Attendance, kept separately
Coaches and club staff mark attendance as present, late, absent or excused, separately from replies.
-
Team, Coaches and Parents channels
Players, coaches and chat-enabled staff post in Team; coaches post in Coaches; coaches and guardians post in Parents. A private adult-to-minor chat brings a parent or guardian into the conversation until the player turns 18, and players under 14 can only DM teammates.
-
The league schedule
For leagues, auto-scheduling builds a season with round robin, divisions, home and away balance, team availability and venue-conflict checks. When a published, upcoming league game moves, a change notice is queued for the people in that game, and updates go to existing team chats.
-
The league's referee
The league assigns one official (referee or umpire) to each league game. The picker checks the sport, the league's required level and unavailable or blocked dates, and the official accepts, declines or hands the game back.
A short, neutral note on TeamReach
TeamReach describes itself as "Group management simplified": a group communication app for "teams & groups of every kind", listing youth sports, scouts, churches, PTAs and clubs among them. Its homepage lists messages, schedules for practices, games and meetups, event details with RSVP, attendance and scores, photos, videos and files, and join-by-code. The homepage describes the app as free to use.

Five questions to ask before you switch
-
Is it built for your sport?
Ask to see a lineup on your own playing surface, with your sport's positions.
-
Does the league schedule reach your team?
If someone retypes league games into the team app each season, ask how the schedule arrives instead.
-
Who assigns the referee?
Ask whether the official sees the game in the same place as the team, and can accept or decline it.
-
What are the chat rules for young players?
Ask who is in a private chat between an adult and a minor, and what a young player can message.
-
Can the coach see who is coming, and who came?
Replies are a plan; attendance is what happened. You want both.
Write your answers down and score each app on your own season, not on a feature list.
Worked example
A soccer team's week
Illustrative example, not a specific club.
A youth soccer team plays seven-a-side. It has twelve players and one league game on Saturday morning.
| Day | What happens | Numbers |
|---|---|---|
| Wednesday | The league has assigned one referee to Saturday's game; the referee accepts it. | 1 referee, accepted |
| Thursday | The coach checks Saturday's replies. | 9 Going · 2 Maybe · 1 Can't go = 12 |
| Friday | One Maybe answers Going, the other answers Can't go. | 10 Going · 2 Can't go = 12 |
| Friday | The coach opens the lineup builder and places the starters on the pitch view. | 7 on the pitch · 3 on the bench = 10 |
| Saturday | The coach marks attendance. | 10 present · 2 excused = 12 |
Every player who said Going has a place in the lineup, the two who said Can't go are marked excused, and the referee was settled by Wednesday. The coach answered no "who is reffing?" or "am I starting?" messages, because both answers were already on the game.

How Play 2 Earn Sports supports a sports team
Play 2 Earn Sports is the team app inside a club and league platform, with league scheduling software and referee scheduling on the same schedule.
-
Lineups
Coaches and club admins use the same lineup builder. Team sports get a squad and pitch view; individual sports get an event-lineup view.
-
The calendar
The team and club calendar shows games, practices and events on web and phone.
-
Replies
Players and parents answer Going, Maybe or Can't go, and coaches see counts and names. A coach can send one manual in-app reminder per item, at most once every 24 hours.
-
Attendance
Coaches and club staff mark attendance (present, late, absent, excused), separately from replies.
-
Team chat
Each team has Team, Coaches and Parents channels. Guardians can read their child's Team channel but not post there, and club admins can audit read-only.
-
Safe-sport design
A private adult-to-minor chat brings a parent or guardian into the conversation until the player turns 18. Players under 14 can only DM teammates. Messages can be reported or blocked.
-
Team and club changes
When a team event, team game or club game changes, affected families get in-app, email and push notices by default, and they can opt out of event email and push.
-
League games
League auto-scheduling builds a season with round robin, divisions, home and away balance, team availability and venue-conflict checks. When a published, upcoming league game moves, a change notice is queued for both clubs' staff, affected coaches, rostered players, linked parents and any assigned referee with an account, and updates go to existing team chats. Email and push depend on each account's settings, and people can opt out.
-
Officials
The league assigns one official per league game, with sport, level and availability checks; the official accepts, declines or hands the game back. Today, the league assigns the game's referee in Play 2 Earn Sports; any further officials stay your league's own process.
-
On the phone
The app installs from the website on iPhone and Android, not from the app stores. Tap Turn on notifications; on iPhone, add it to the Home Screen first. Live data needs a connection.
Your sport, your lineup, your league's referee.
Moving your team across
Start from the schedule you have. If your current app gives you a calendar link, paste it into Import schedule, check the preview, and confirm. Today, this is a one-way import of games, not a full migration of past messages, so keep anything you need from the old group. Then open the three channels, invite the families, and run one real week before you close the old group. For leagues, see how to move your league schedule from another app.
Coaching one team?
Coaching one team on your own? Start a free club account for your team at club starter. Coaches are added through a club account, so the free club account is how a coach on their own gets started. Every organization feature is on every plan, so your team gets lineups, replies, attendance and team chat from the start.
Common mistakes
-
Keeping the lineup on paper
Put it on the game, where players and coaches can find it.
-
Two schedules
Once the season is imported, treat the new calendar as the only version.
-
One channel for everything
Player chat, coach planning and parent logistics each need their own space.
-
Closing the old group too early
Run one real week first, then post a last message saying where to look.
