Galaxy Watch Team App and Watch Studio Come to P2E

OTTAWA — Play 2 Earn Sports is adding Watch Studio and a watch sign-in page, the first public parts of its Galaxy Watch team app. Players and clubs choose a watch design, customise it with a live preview and link a watch with a code. Youth privacy rules are enforced on the server.

The watch work brings a player's club life, such as the next game, results and check-in, to the wrist.

What is Watch Studio?

Watch Studio opens from the Player and Club dashboards. You pick a device, Samsung Galaxy Watch or Apple Watch, then a design, and customise colours and data with a live preview.

  • Designs: 36 in four libraries of nine (Galaxy player, Galaxy club, Apple player and Apple club), plus a build-your-own option.
  • Club collections: a club can publish an official collection and lock designs to it.
  • Tiers: some designs are marked free and some Pro.

What data reaches the watch?

Club to watch is automatic: schedule, results, rosters, announcements and video-analysis stats where the club has them. Watch to club is explicit only: a check-in or RSVP. Health data stays on the device. Where there is no real value for a field, the watch shows nothing rather than an invented number.

How does watch sign-in work?

A player signs in on the watch by linking it with a short code on the watch sign-in page. There is no password to type on a small screen.

What about Galaxy Watch and Apple Watch?

Galaxy designs use Google's Watch Face Format for Wear OS. The Play 2 Earn Sports Galaxy Watch app is in testing on Google Play. Apple does not allow third-party watch faces, so Apple designs are planned as complications and widgets built with WidgetKit.

How are young players protected?

The youth rules are enforced on the server, not left to each design. For players under 13, the watch shows an initial only, never a full name. No photo appears without a parent's opt-in, and no venue is shown. Canadian privacy law such as PIPEDA guided the rules. Sample players in Watch Studio are fictional.

Who is it for?

  • players who want their next game and results on the wrist;
  • clubs that want an official watch look for their teams;
  • coaches who want quick game-day information.

Verified moments from Game Rooms and a player's profile feed the same record the watch reads.

Frequently asked questions

Can I install the Galaxy Watch app today?

The Play 2 Earn Sports Galaxy Watch app is in testing on Google Play. Watch Studio and the watch sign-in page are the first public steps. The public store listing will follow testing; check the watch page for current availability before you look for it in the store.

Does it work on Apple Watch?

Watch Studio includes Apple Watch designs. Apple does not allow third-party watch faces, so Apple designs are planned as complications, Smart Stack widgets and app screens. The Apple Watch app is not yet available.

What does the watch show for a child under 13?

For players under 13, the watch shows an initial only, never a full name. A photo appears only if a parent opts in, and the venue is never shown. These rules are enforced on the Play 2 Earn Sports server for every design.

Does the watch send health data to the club?

No. Health data stays on the device. The only thing a watch sends to the club is an explicit action, such as a check-in or RSVP. Schedules, results and announcements flow from the club to the watch.

Get started: link your watch on the watch sign-in page, or register free first.
