Youth Sports Sponsorship Inquiries Open for Club Kits

Businesses can now send a youth sports sponsorship inquiry for a club kit placement on Play 2 Earn Sports. Every inquiry is reviewed; none is guaranteed.

Youth Sports Sponsorship Inquiries Open for Club Kits

OTTAWA — Play 2 Earn Sports has opened youth sports sponsorship inquiries for club kit placements. A business picks one of six defined kit surfaces and sends a logo or written brief for review. An inquiry is not a purchase, and it does not guarantee a placement or a sponsor.

The program links local and national businesses with clubs that want support, with review and consent steps built in because youth players wear the kit.

How does the sponsor placement program work?

  1. Pick a surface: chest centre, chest left, left or right sleeve, upper back or left shorts, each with a maximum size.
  2. Send a brief: a private PNG, a written brief, or both. A file is never served as a public asset.
  3. Rights review: the platform reviews the campaign before any player is selected.
  4. Approvals: club, player and any required guardian approvals remain mandatory.

No payment is taken at the inquiry step. The page states that pricing, checkout, invoicing, payouts and revenue sharing are outside this stage.

Can a business preview its logo on a kit?

Yes. The Play 2 Earn Sports home page has a kit preview: drop a PNG, SVG or JPG onto the jersey and spin it in 3D. The page says the logo stays in your browser and is never uploaded.

What does it mean for clubs?

For clubs, sponsorship is an optional growth path. It is reviewed and eligibility-based, subject to availability, approval and youth-safety requirements, and never guaranteed. Clubs build a sponsor-ready profile first with Club Starter, which is free for clubs.

What Canadian rules apply to youth sponsorship?

Advertising that reaches children carries extra rules in Canada. Industry standards are set by Ad Standards, and misleading claims fall under the Competition Bureau. Some categories are unsuitable for youth kits, and Quebec has its own rules on advertising to children. The review step exists so that sponsors, clubs and families can check fit before anything appears on a kit. This is general information, not legal advice.

Who is it for?

  • local businesses that want to support community sport;
  • regional and national brands planning a youth sport program;
  • clubs that want a clear, reviewed route to sponsor support.

Frequently asked questions

Does sending an inquiry buy a placement?

No. The inquiry collects a private creative brief for review. It does not sell or activate a placement, and no payment is taken. Rights review and club, player and guardian approvals come first, and a placement is never guaranteed.

Which kit surfaces are available?

Six defined surfaces: chest centre up to 260 by 120 mm, chest left up to 90 by 90 mm, each sleeve up to 100 by 70 mm, upper back up to 280 by 140 mm, and left shorts up to 110 by 90 mm, as listed on the sponsors page.

Can my club get a sponsor through Play 2 Earn Sports?

Clubs can explore sponsorship once they have a sponsor-ready profile. Opportunities are reviewed and eligibility-based, and depend on availability, approval and youth-safety requirements. The platform does not promise any club a sponsor or a set amount of money.

What happens to the logo file I upload?

On the sponsors inquiry form, a PNG of up to 16 MB is stored privately and is never served as a public asset. On the home page kit preview, the logo stays in your browser and is not uploaded to Play 2 Earn Sports servers.

For businesses: start a campaign inquiry on the sponsor placement page.
