Free Tournament Maker Takes Events From Idea to Sign-Up

The free tournament maker on Play 2 Earn Sports saves a new event with sport, dates, age group and venue, then adds fees, divisions and registration.

Free Tournament Maker Takes Events From Idea to Sign-Up

OTTAWA — Play 2 Earn Sports' free tournament maker lets any organizer create a sports event in a few minutes. You enter the sport, dates, age group, gender and location, then verify your email. Inside a free account you add fees, divisions, teams, registration limits and the game schedule.

The tournament maker is the bigger sibling of the platform's free bracket generator. The bracket tool draws a knockout; the tournament maker runs the whole event, from the first public details to registration.

What does the free tournament maker include?

The first screen asks only for what athletes and families look for first:

  • tournament name and sport;
  • start date and time, plus an optional end date and time for multi-day events;
  • age group, typed as your league labels it, such as U11, U15, Adult or Open;
  • gender: Boys, Girls, Men, Women, Co-ed or Open;
  • location, with address suggestions when available, and a short description.

An event artwork step lets you upload your own poster or generate a visual theme in styles such as Championship, Stadium and Neon.

You save the draft with a six-digit email code that is valid for 30 minutes. After verification you create an account or sign in, then add registration fees and limits, divisions and teams, and build the schedule.

Who is it for?

  • clubs hosting a weekend, holiday or season-end tournament;
  • leagues adding a cup to the season;
  • school and community organizers running a one-day event.

Published events can appear in the public tournament directory, where families and clubs search by sport, location and date.

How is it different from the bracket generator?

The free bracket generator builds a quick 4, 8, 16 or 32-team single-elimination draw without an account. The tournament maker covers the full event: registration, divisions and scheduling. If you have 6 or 12 teams, the tournament maker is the right starting point, because the bracket generator only builds 4, 8, 16 and 32-team draws.

Play 2 Earn Sports does not offer double-elimination, round-robin or Swiss generators. Plan those formats with a template and run the event in your account.

What should Canadian organizers check first?

Before you publish, confirm whether the event needs sanctioning from your sport's provincial association. It can set insurance, officiating and eligibility rules. In Ontario soccer, for example, start with Ontario Soccer.

Plan your safety steps too. Ontario's Rowan's Law sets concussion rules for many amateur sport organizations. The Coaching Association of Canada's Safe Sport training is a free starting point for volunteers.

Price and availability

The tournament maker is free to use and available now at play2earnsports.com/tournament-maker. Tournaments, clubs and player profiles live on the same platform, so the event sits next to the clubs and players who take part in it.

What comes next

A series of tournament guides, covering formats, seeding and how many games an event needs, is due on the Play 2 Earn Sports stories page. Clubs that host events every season can start a club free.

Frequently asked questions

Can I create a tournament without an account?

You can enter the event details without an account. To save them, you verify your email with a six-digit code, then create a free account or sign in. Fees, divisions, teams, registration limits and the schedule are added inside the account after that step.

Does the tournament maker cost anything?

No. The Play 2 Earn Sports tournament maker is free to use. There is no charge to create an event, save it or finish its setup in your account. Your provincial association may charge its own sanctioning or insurance fees, so check those separately.

Which sports can I use?

The sport list covers the sports configured on Play 2 Earn Sports, including baseball, basketball, hockey, lacrosse, soccer, swimming, track and field, volleyball and wrestling. You enter any age group or division label your event uses, such as U15, Adult or Open.

Will my tournament show up publicly?

Published events can appear in the Play 2 Earn Sports tournament directory, where families and clubs search by sport and location. Keep the public description to event details. Do not post players' names, and leave rosters inside your account.
