Club Starter: Start a Sports Club Free in 18 Sports
Club Starter lets you start a sports club free on Play 2 Earn Sports, with a club profile, teams, player profiles and schedules across 18 sports.

OTTAWA — Play 2 Earn Sports' Club Starter lets a coach or organizer start a sports club free. A new club gets a public profile, teams and rosters, player profiles, schedules and events in one place, across 18 sports. Starter is free for clubs with up to 10 teams; larger clubs choose Pro or Unlimited.
Club Starter is aimed at the volunteer who wants a club people can find and join, without first becoming a software expert.
What does a new club get?
- An online home: a club profile with your sport, location and news, so families and partners understand what you do.
- Players, teams and rosters: teams for each age group, player profiles, roles and the information each season needs.
- Schedule and events: practices, games and club events on one calendar that players, parents and coaches all see.
- Tournaments: the free tournament maker and bracket generator on the same platform.
- Sponsor-ready presence: a consistent club identity for when you are ready to explore reviewed sponsorship.
Families create a free account to connect with the club, follow the schedule and keep a player profile. Coaches are added and managed by the club.
How does it work?
- Name and shape the club: sport, age groups, level and location.
- Invite your first team: set up teams and player profiles.
- Publish: put the schedule and events on the club calendar and share the club profile.
Existing clubs can move over the same way: create the club, add teams, then invite players and coaches. Their history builds from the first season on the platform. Clubs can keep their own website and link it from the club profile.
Is it really free?
Yes. Play 2 Earn Sports is free for clubs. Sponsorship is a separate, optional path: opportunities are reviewed and eligibility-based, and placements are never guaranteed.
What Canadian clubs should set up alongside it
Software is one step. Most new Canadian clubs also decide whether to incorporate as a not-for-profit. Federal incorporation is handled by Corporations Canada; each province also runs its own registry. Join your sport's provincial association so your teams can play sanctioned games and get insurance.
Plan screening and training for coaches and volunteers. The Safe Sport training from the Coaching Association of Canada is free. Ontario clubs must also follow Rowan's Law on concussion awareness. This is general information, not legal advice.
Who is it for?
Club Starter works for new clubs in any of the 18 supported sports, from soccer, hockey and basketball to figure skating and volleyball. It also suits established clubs that want to replace a patchwork of spreadsheets, group chats and separate tools.
Parents looking for a club can browse the public club directory; athletes keep one player profile across seasons and clubs.
What comes next
A step-by-step guide to starting a sports club in Canada is scheduled for the Play 2 Earn Sports stories page. Until then, clubs can request a walkthrough from the team.

Frequently asked questions
Do parents pay to join a club's page?
No. Families create a free Play 2 Earn Sports account to connect with the club, follow the schedule and keep a player profile. The club itself sets any registration fees for its programs; those are the club's own fees, not a charge for using the platform.
Can we move an existing club over?
Yes. Create the club on Play 2 Earn Sports, add your teams, then invite your players and coaches. Player profiles and club history build up from the first season you run on the platform. You can keep your current website and link it from your club profile.
Do I need a sponsor before I start?
No. Start with the club setup. Sponsorship is an optional growth path you can explore later. Opportunities are reviewed and eligibility-based, subject to availability, approval and youth-safety requirements, and an inquiry never guarantees a sponsor or a placement.
Do I need to incorporate my club first?
Not to use Club Starter. Many Canadian clubs do incorporate as not-for-profits, federally through Corporations Canada or with their province, before they sign leases or raise money. Talk to your provincial sport association and a qualified adviser. This is general information, not legal advice.
